“Friends of Farm Bug,
As many of you know, I am a resident of the City of Somerville and, per my previous communications, the Somerville Board of Aldermen(women) came up with a very forward-thinking Licensing Ordinance for Adult Use Marijuana. I am very encouraged by the unanimous passage of this Ordinance. However, one item that was not approved was the creation of a perpetual Working Group on Social Equity in Local Cannabis. I have recently sent my proposal directly to Mayor Joseph Curtatone to gain the Administration’s support to create such a working group.
If you support this proposal, email Mayor Curtatone at email@example.com.
Advocates have done a lot of work within the City of Somerville to create an equitable Licensing Ordinance. I believe that this working group will get us over the finish line to achieve a diverse and vibrant local cannabis industry in the city. I hope that you agree and will send your support.
Your Humble Advocate,
Eric R. Schwartz
