West Springfield Mayor William C. Reichelt participated in the forum. It was helpful to learn about the latest changes in the marijuana industry and meet officials like Hoffman, he said.

“It was good to talk with the kind of industry folks who have a lot more information about cannabis in general, how the rules and regulations are going,” Reichelt said.
Reichelt last month vetoed the West Springfield Town Council’s ban on recreational marijuana. The nine-member Council can override the veto with a two-thirds majority, or six votes.
