Grow, Gift, Repair

Networking breakfast in Boston Friday morning!

The cannabis industry is continuing to grow in the Commonwealth, but are those communities most impacted by criminalization being given a fair shot to participate in this new market? URBAN Boston is calling for policymakers, researchers, activists, and other citizens interested in this issue to join together for a morning of discussion and networking.

The event will begin with a short program of speakers, including Shaleen Title, current Cannabis Control Commissioner, as well as researchers engaged on the issue of equity. We will follow with a focused discussion that aims to answer the following questions:

How do we measure the disparate impact of communities impacted by criminalization?

What are the gaps for achieving social equity in the legalized cannabis market?

What policy interventions could be considered for closing these gaps?

Questions and comments are welcome, and we encourage participants to network and form research collaborations!
