SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – A workshop was held in Springfield Monday night to learn how to legally grow marijuana outdoors.

HashburyDotGreen , a proposed retail cannabis facility hosted the event at its new resource center on School Street.

The Leary Resource Center is a free center that focuses on jobs within the pot industry. Monday night’s workshop taught residents how to professionally grow the plant, just in time for Spring.

“our first workshop is on the basics of outdoor growing,” CEO and President of HashburyDotGreen, Dawn Cincotta told 22News. “We’re letting folks know how they can grow legally.”

In Massachuetts, it is legal to grow outdoors, so long as the area is locked and the plants are not visible froma public space.
