Framingham Cannabis Ice Cream Business Gets Final OK

Just in time for the first warm day of spring, a Framingham-based maker of cannabis-infused ice cream is now in business.

The state Cannabis Control Commission board gave Cloud Creamery its final license on Thursday, and that means the company can soon start churning out product at its Herbert Street kitchen.

Cloud Creamery got its start nearly two years ago in April 2019 when it began negotiating a host-community agreement with Framingham. As part of its deal with the city, Cloud Creamery agreed to pay a one time $2,500 community impact fee, and then 1 percent of gross sales in its first year in business, 2 percent of gross sales in its second years and 3 percent of gross sales in the third year.
