Commission Chairman Steven Hoffman has said repeatedly that he would rather do the job right and get the industry running smoothly than rush to meet an arbitrary deadline of July 1.

Baker, asked about the delay Monday, said he agrees with Hoffman. “I’ve heard Chairman Steve Hoffman say several times, and I agree with him on this, that it’s better to get it right,” Baker said.
