The lack of openings has led to grumbling in some circles, with Shaleen Title, one of the five members of the Cannabis Control Commission, fielding complaints on Twitter.

“[O]h look at that, labs are on the agenda, you all can chill the hell out,” Title said in a Twitter post shortly after Thursday’s agenda went live on the commission’s website.

Title, a longtime marijuana legalization activist, wrote the legalization ballot question that ultimately become law in 2016. She is also the only member of the commission who voted in favor of the ballot question.

The agenda also includes retailer licenses for Alternative Therapies Group, Inc. and Northeast Alternatives, Inc., and a product manufacturer license for Cultivate Holdings, LLC. The timeline for the opening of a retail marijuana shop remains unclear.
