Priority applicants will be given a certificate that can be used to apply for a cannabis license any time after April 17 (WHEN APPLICATIONS OPEN).
Priority applicant teams must qualify for 3 of the 6 requirements. We must assemble teams of applicants and put people who qualify together. Otherwise RMD’s, even ones that have not opened, will become priority applicants [more than 100].
This process for priority certification closes April 15. We need as many economic empowerment applicants to apply to ensure the Massachusetts cannabis industry is made up of local cannabis growers and manufacturers who endured the impacts of marijuana prohibition.
INFO: You don’t need a location or a community host agreement to become certified. You don’t even need to know what kind of license you want to apply for.
