Another recreational marijuana dispensary is slated to open this week, with the state authorizing Theory Wellness in Great Barrington to begin recreational sales as soon as Friday.
The approval brings the total number of recreational dispensaries in the state to six, with stores already selling non-medical cannabis in Northampton (New England Treatment Access), Leicester (Cultivate), Easthampton (INSA), Salem (Alternative Therapies Group), and Wareham (Pharmcannis Massachusetts).
Another three retail dispensaries have reached the penultimate stage of approval for opening, including two retail establishments owned by Temescal Wellness of Massachusetts in Pittsfield and Hudson, and a dispensary operated by Northeast Alternatives in Fall River.
